Now, for my first entry I would like to share about the Father of Malaysian Independence as he remains in the hearts of all peace loving Malaysia as a very special statesman. Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al Haj was born on February 8, 1903 at Istana Tiga Tingkat, Alor Setar, Kedah. He is the seventh prince of Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah and the twenty fourth Sultan of Kedah. His mother was a Siamese Aristocrat named Che Manjalara and the Sultan’s fourth wife.
Said to be a robust and bright boy with a particular fondness for sports, Tunku received his early education at the Debsurin School, Bangkok and Penang Free School. Afterwards, he receives the Kedah government scholarship to study at St. Catherine’s College, Cambridge University, where he gets his Bachelor of Arts in Law and History in 1925. 1938, Tunku attempt in completing his law studies at the Inner Temple in England but instead Tunku, resumed his studies eight years later and came home with his legal qualifications in 1949.
Tunku was married with four wife's starting from Mariam Chong which they were gift two children Tunku Khadijah and Tunku Ahmad Nerang, followed by Violet Colson as he married her after the death of Mariam Chong, the third was Sharifah Rodziah Syed Alwi Barakbah as this couple was not gift with any children during their mariagge and lastly Tunku married to Bibi Chong that converted to Islam and the couple were gift with another two children Tunku Noor Hayati and Tunku Mastura.

Before becoming the Malaysia first prime minister has work at several places, starting from trainee officer to district officer in Kuala Nerang, Sungai Petani and also other places. Sooner, Tunku start to join UMNO and become the president when Dato Onn Jaafar left the position.Then, in 1957, after the declaration of Independence Day, Tunku Abdul Rahman has been elected as the first prime minister of the Federation of Malaya from 1957 to 1963 and of Malaysia from 1963 to 1970.
